BRINEGARD: The Salt-Husk Stalker

The story

Deep in the sun-baked crystalline expanse of Brinegard, the heavy salt-extraction rig Saltyker-4 pierces a subterranean cavern, waking the Salt-Husk Stalker—a blind, massive arthropod that detects living water through soil vibrations. The creature destroys the platform, leaving veteran harvester Jax, her tech-specialist son Kael, and heavily armored guard Vane stranded. To survive, they must drag a leaking, high-pressure water core on an iron drag-sled across ten miles of razor-sharp salt spires to Outpost Zero. The creature stalks them from beneath the crust, ambushing whenever liquid hits the sand. After Vane is dragged into the salt caverns below, Jax and Kael press on through a blinding salt storm. At the narrow steel bridge leading to Outpost Zero, the Stalker erupts for a final confrontation. Jax intentionally ruptures the high-pressure water core, blasting calcifying moisture into the beast's brittle exoskeleton before detonating its power valve, shattering the monster and securing their escape.
