CANDELARIS: The Obsidian Vault

The story

In the pitch-black subterranean ocean world of Candelaris, light is the ultimate currency, harvested from glowing abyss leviathans and stored inside the monolithic floating subterranean tower known as the Obsidian Vault. Master diver Kael recruits Jax, a heavy-equipment engineer, and Nyx, a shadow-swimmer, to infiltrate the submerged spire and steal its blazing crystal core. Navigating dark oceanic currents filled with blind visual predators, the team uses UV decoys to slip through the Vault's massive lower intake turbines. Once inside the dry glass interior, Nyx weaves through lethal light-beam security traps while Kael unclasps the floating core. Triggering an automated lockdown, supercharged neon fluid floods the facility as the structure begins to break apart into the dark ocean floor. Using jet-propulsion rigs powered directly by the stolen crystal, the trio blasts through crumbling underwater walls and escapes to the surface ocean air, leaving the darkened vault behind.
