SILICORE: The Glass Desert

The story

On the scorched world of Silicore, courier Kael accepts a dangerous mission to deliver a blue cryo-stabilizer core across the Mirror Expanse—a vast desert made entirely of razor-sharp melted black glass that reflects lethal solar radiation. Armed only with a solar-shielded hover-sled and a heavy thermal suit, Kael begins the journey. Halfway across, she is ambushed by Vane, a ruthless scavenger in a heavy exoskeleton who wants the core to power his war-rig. Forced into a high-speed chase across blinding dunes, Kael uses thermal flares and reflection tactics to disable Vane's scouts. When her sled is hit and crashes into the Obsidian Sinkhole, she carries the core on foot through treacherous crystal bridges. Atop the Refractor Tower, Vane corners her, but Kael uses a polished glass shard to redirect a blinding beam of sunlight directly into Vane's optical sensors, causing him to fall into the abyss. Kael reaches the Underground Sanctuary just as her suit reaches critical heat failure, plugging in the core to cool and save the surviving underground populace.
