The story

On the atmospheric ocean world of Thalassa-Seven, the hanging sky-city of Ouros relies on a massive underwater gravity anchor to float above the planet's lethal metallic core. When a catastrophic tectonic pulse snaps the secondary stabilizer cables, the city begins a slow, violent descent. High-pressure diver Mara and her heavy mechanical repair drone UNIT-7 drop through the launch moonpool into the glowing, oceanic abyss. Along the descent, they navigate crumbling ancient tether shafts and encounter predatory bioluminescent leviathans. Reaching the sunken anchor chamber at critical structural failure, Mara performs an emergency manual override on the pulsing plasma core while exposed to immense crushing pressure. With seconds remaining, she anchors the fusion tether, stabilizing the platform and riding the rising energy shockwave back toward the sunlit sky as Ouros levels out safely.
