VECTIS: The Lodestone Archipelago

The story

On the floating lodestone islands of Vectis, twelve-year-old scavenger Milo and his sister Kiara discover that their village's central magnetic core is failing, causing their landmass to plummet toward a crushing cloud void. Guided by their armored six-legged pet Rust-Claw, the siblings embark on a perilous trek across mile-high copper chains connecting the sky-islands. They discover that the tyrannical Commander Vane has stolen their core to empower his massive airborne warship, the Sky-Dredger. Infiltrating the warship during a violent electromagnetic storm, Milo and Kiara navigate shifting gravity traps and mechanical guards. In a high-stakes, dialogue-free heist inside the vessel's radiant power room, Milo tricks Vane into triggering a reverse magnetic pulse, allowing the kids to seize the core and leap out into the open sky on magnetic gliders. Pursued through lightning-charged clouds, they reach their falling home in the nick of time, plunging the core into its cradle to restore gravity and lock their island safely back in the sky.
