VERDANTIS: The Glass Canopy

The story

In the floating glass biospheres of Verdantis, twelve-year-old Leo and his nine-year-old sister Maya live alongside bioluminescent creatures that keep their home powered. Their peaceful life breaks when an ancient, automated scrap-harvester named Scrapper awakens and snatches their beloved luminescent beetle, Pipo, to drain its energy. Leo and Maya launch a daring rescue mission across hazardous copper skybridges suspended thousands of feet above a cloud ocean. Tracing the machine into the dark, rust-choked underbelly of the floating island, they navigate treacherous gear chutes and crumbling catwalks. Inside the fiery furnace core, Maya uses her gadget backpack to trick the machine's sensors while Leo pulls off a daring distraction. After freeing Pipo, the trio uses the beetle's amplified glow to restart the ancient solar core, restoring light and lush life to the entire glass canopy just as the sun sets over the sky-realm.
